Dr. Guillermo Diaz-Pulido is a Lecturer in the Griffith School of Environment. He has a Ph.D in Marine Botany/Ecology from James Cook University, Townsville and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Marine Studies, University of Queensland. His research focuses on the understanding of the ecology and physiology of benthic algae in tropical reefs and their interactions with reef building corals. His latest research assesses the implications of ocean acidification and warming on seaweeds and coralline red algae.
