Kim Currie is a marine chemist at NIWA, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research , in Dunedin, New Zealand . Kim is based at the Centre of Chemical and Physical Oceanography, a collaborative centre between NIWA and the University of Otago. The main focus of her work is studying the temporal changes in marine carbonate chemistry using a time series transect located at the subtropical frontal zone off the SE coast of New Zealand. She also provides a chemistry perspective for many ocean acidification in situ and perturbation studies.
